Samantha (Sam) Bauman
How did Sam land in the real estate industry, you might ask? Well, after attending Eastern Illinois University, she embarked on a career in the hospitality industry. It was through this work, in catering and event planning for hotels and restaurants, that she developed my passion for helping people navigate life-changing moments. From large-scale weddings to graduation commencement ceremonies, she honed her skills of being dependable, professional, and caring. Her ultimate goal was to create a comfortable atmosphere for her clients and their guests. After a successful 10 years in hospitality, she was motivated to take her knowledge and the network she had built, and transition into a career in real estate.
2023 marks Samatha’s 7th year in real estate. In 2020 she achieved 35% more sales over 2019. Her volume was up 4.5% – in large part thanks to all the referrals from friends, family members, and co-workers. She also received the Chairman Circle Gold Award. This award is presented to top performing agents that place within the top 2% of Berkshire Hathaway Agents Nationwide. This was a huge honor made possible thanks to her incredible clients.

Raul Delgado
Raul spent over 30 years in the hospitality industry and has leveraged that experience to find incredible success in real estate. He has been involved in real estate since 2020, starting part time, and built the business while still working running all the food service operations for Wheaton College. The business experience and passion he has for connecting with people, creatively serving their needs, and his relentless approach to maximizing results for them has translated well in real estate.
In 2021, Raul partnered with Sam, combining their networks and skill sets. This unique approach and synergy working with their sellers and buyers generated $23 million dollars in sales. After this great success, Raul decided to retire from the hospitality industry and put his full attention towards real estate and The Move Smarter Team.
