CS Modern Luxury Spotlight

From the March 2023 Issue of CS Modern Luxury

Samantha Bauman’s career began in hospitality. “Working in the catering world and with lots of brides, I developed my passion for helping people navigate life-changing moments,” she says. “The skills I obtained there were my motivation to transition into a career in real estate.” Now, she’s helping people navigate a different life-changing moment—buying a home—alongside a team she’s built out over the last seven years, The Move Smarter Team.

Their specialty is the western suburbs, where Bauman was raised; she grew up in Wheaton—her family has been in Wheaton for six generations!— and recently moved to Batavia. “Being a realtor isn’t just about selling houses, it’s about being a cheerleader for your community,” she says. “I get asked what restaurants clients should check out, where to take kids, or do I have a favorite plumber or handyman. I have become a trusted resource.” She serves a slew of towns, and her move to Batavia created a spark to expand even further by opening a brand-new Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices office in Geneva, Illinois.

So it’s no surprise Bauman has seen success. In the past two years, The Move Smarter Team has closed more than $30 million in sales and, last year, received the Chairman Circle Platinum Award presented to the top 1% of Berkshire Hathaway agents nationwide. “My business partner, Raul Delgado, and I are not your typical real-estate agents,” Bauman says. “Our clients don’t just think of us as their realtor, but as their advocate, friend, and now family.”
